What is mindset coaching?

Based on the premise that thoughts create emotions, and emotions drive behaviors, mindset coaching helps the client reach their goals by developing a healthy mindset. Mindset is the established set of attitudes, thoughts, or perceptions a person holds about something.
The mindset coach helps the client to become aware of their current thought patterns contrary to their goal, choose new mindsets aligned with their goal, and guides the client through this change in mindset.
(Definition adapted from Metanoia Catholic.)

What is life coaching?

Life coaching helps the client achieve personal and professional goals. A life coach offers support and guidance to help clients explore their goals, identify challenges, and develop strategies for overcoming obstacles.

What's the difference between coaching, therapy, mentoring, and spiritual direction?

Coaching focuses mainly on growth and practical goal achievement. Coaches cannot diagnose or treat a diagnosis. Coaching is not a regulated industry. Coaching focuses mainly on the client’s present and future. The client has the capacity to achieve their goals. The coach helps the client become aware of their blockers, and helps them identify possible paths forward.
Therapy focuses mainly on healing. Therapists can diagnose mental health disorders. Therapy is a regulated industry. Therapy focuses a lot on the client’s past. Through medical modalities, the therapist helps the client heal and restore their mental health.
Mentorship focuses mainly on longer accompaniment and leans into the life experience of the mentor to help the mentee grow.
Spiritual direction focuses mainly on entering into a divine relationship with Jesus Christ, guiding the directee through listening and prayer.

What is Catholic mindset coaching?

Catholic mindset coaching takes into account the context of the clients’ teleological end in Beatitude – eternal life in Heaven and union with God. The sought mindsets are considered based on the judgment of a well-formed conscience informed by the teachings of the Catholic Faith and moral tradition. The new mindsets should conform to the mind of Christ and His plan for the client’s life.
A Catholic mindset coach applies coaching techniques aligned with, and in integrity with, the Catholic Faith and Catholic anthropology, and in line with God’s design for human thriving.
God and His grace are the ultimate guide and the agent of transformation in the client’s life.
(Definition adapted from Metanoia Catholic.)

How can you help me?

At Hope Caught Ablaze, we help you see and understand your mind better – your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
We teach you how to process your thoughts, let go of unhelpful and damaging thoughts and beliefs, adopt new thoughts and beliefs aligned with God’s truth, manage your emotions, and take fruitful actions towards your goals, by improving your mindset.
We guide you to discover, understand, and take ownership of your temperament, talents, skills, and dreams.
We offer support, guidance, encouragement, accountability, and spiritual accompaniment.

What is Strengths coaching?

Strengths coaching focuses on helping the client name, claim, and aim their unique talents. Using an assessment that the client takes, the coach helps the client identify and understand their skills, discover how these skills show up in their experiences, and direct the talents towards achieving the client’s goals.
It emphasizes the positive aspects of a person's strengths, rather than focusing on fixing weaknesses, knowing that living from a place of strengths and natural talents provides better results and fulfillment than trying to be good at everything.
We recommend the Gallup CliftonStrengths® assessment (also known as StrengthsFinder®) and the 5q APEST assessment. We do not cover the costs of these assessments.

Is life coaching for me?

If you find yourself feeling stagnant, seeking clarity in your life, or desiring to unlock your full potential, life coaching may be a beneficial avenue for you.
A life coach can offer insights, accountability, and tools tailored to your unique circumstances, empowering you to navigate obstacles and achieve your aspirations.
It’s important to consider whether you are open to self-exploration and willing to commit time and effort to the coaching process.
If you feel excited about the prospect of growth and transformation, life coaching can be a great resource on your journey towards a more fulfilling life.

Do you work only with Catholics?

I am open to working with people of all faiths and religions, and I believe mindset coaching can benefit everyone. We were all created in the same way, and our minds have the same design.
My coaching is grounded in Catholic teachings, principles and values, and that transpires in my coaching sessions. I won't try to convert the client or force them to accept things they don’t agree with, but I will also not shy away from standing by the truth of the  Catholic faith.
As a general rule, I start and end my coaching sessions in prayer, with the client's permission.

Do you coach in other areas besides marriage, mission, and strengths?

Yes. Some of the other areas we coach in are:
- Relationships: Improve your relationship with God, parents, in-laws, siblings, friends, co-workers, or dating partner.
- Personal identity: Overcame false beliefs about yourself, others and God, grow in confidence and authenticity, and develop a grounded self-esteem.
- Discipline: Establish routines, take ownership and responsibility over your life, and develop a healthy life balance.

What are the prices and payment options?

- SPES one 50 minutes session - €60
- VERUM package - €220

Clifton strengths training with Monica has been very valuable to me and for my confidence. Monica has helped me to identify and be proud of my God given strengths and how they can be utilized in different situations in life. Knowing what my strengths are has given me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and rely more on myself than on other people’s strengths. Monica put a lot of time, prayers and work into these sessions and I have benefited from the fruits of the sessions. Thank you, Monica!

I’m in the best hands when getting coached by Monica. She is patient, knowledgeable, and has a knack for asking just the right question. Regardless of my emotions, she stays calm and focused allowing me to feel confidently guided. It’s fruitful every time. I’m so grateful for her!
